Small Animal Practice in Hampshire are seeking an experienced vet surgeon to join a friendly team with the support of a multi certificate holder for support. The Vet Partner is an Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery as well as a certificate in emergency medicine and surgery and soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery CertAVP(GSAS), puts the practice in the unique position to offer a varied caseload and learning experience. In addition, the vet partner has a Zoology degree, as a practice therefore include exotics in the cases that are seen. Joining an exceptional team including another full time veterinary surgeon, 3 RVNs, 1 student nurse and 3 receptionists with the nurse team having a combined experience of 50 years. Ideally this is a full-time role to support the growth of the practice, with flexibility for shorter hours considered if desired. There is a Saturday morning rota between 9am and 12pm, for consultations and emergencies only with no OOH. The ideal candidate will have solid GP experience, confident in occasional sole charge, a team player with great communication skills. An interest in ultrasonography or medicine would be beneficial, but not essential and the practice does have orthopaedic equipment on site and are open to investing in further equipment, depending on the vets’ skills sets and interests.
