Independent Family Owned RCVS Accredited Mixed Animal Practice in Cumbria are seeking a confident vet to join the friendly and welcoming team ideally with some experience. Truly mixed practice with a supportive 4 vet team, a loyal client base and very much the heart of the community. The balance of work is approximately 50% Large (dairy, sheep and beef) 45% Small and 5% Equine. Small animal consults are 30 minutes and the pace of life is relaxed. The rota currently is between a 4 and a 5 day week, planning to move to a 4-day week once recruited. The practice does its own OOHs on a 1:4 rota, which includes Saturday consults between 8.30am to 1.30pm. During the week there is one night on call. Well equipped both on the small and large animal side, including Easiscan with high-definition BUGs and remote screen, tup and bull fertility testing equipment, broncho, and rhinoscope, air plasma cautery and cutting, digital x-ray with bucky table and fantastic ultrasound with all the probes you need. The practice is surrounded by stunning scenery from the Pennine hills to the Northern Lakes. It’s a great place for those who enjoy the outdoors.
