Independent RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital in Cheshire are seeking a confident vet to join the very friendly and inclusive team. The purpose built standalone practice is across two site, a nurse training practice and gold cat friendly clinic. The team consists of 8 vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine and a diplomat orthopaedic surgeon. The visiting Specialist vets in Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic imaging providing an exceptional standard of care to all the patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases. Fantastic nursing team of 8 RVNs and 2 SVNs is led by a DipAVN and includes ECC certificate holders. The right candidate will be a good team player and be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated to provide a high quality first opinion service to the patients and clients. The role involves a 4 day week plus 2 days off in lieu after weekend worked with a 1 in 8 rota. Dedicated OOH provider for on call, inpatients are cared for by the RVN team and the hospital is staffed 24/7. The vets share responsibility for the inpatients (1:8 nights). There are two theatres, a dental suite including dental radiography, in-house lab with IDEXX blood and urinalysis machines, an EPOC machine, DR x-ray, high quality ultrasound, video endoscope and laparoscope.
