SA Veterinary Surgeon with surgical bias – Essex – ER3479.43749

VetPro Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced SA Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a surgical bias, to join a highly accomplished team at their 24 hour RCVS accredited small animal hospital in Essex. The team consists of 14 Veterinary Surgeons (including certificate holders and members working towards certificates in cardiology and medicine), a highly skilled nursing team (many being schedule 3 and imaging trained with certificate holders also), 1 Hydrotherapist, 1 Physiotherapist and 12 CCAs. The hospital offers first class inpatient care alongside a first opinion service and outpatient services including ECC, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT/MRI imaging, hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy as well as laser therapy. The ideal candidate will be have strong clinical skills with a surgical bias and an interest in laparoscopic surgery would be a bonus but not essential. They will be confident performing standard emergency procedures but have the ability to take on more complex medical cases. They will thrive working in a vibrant atmosphere and aspire to reach clinical excellence.
• 40 hours per week worked over 4 days.
• 1:4 weekends.
• No OOH but on call 3 – 4 times per year.
• Specialist certificates actively encouraged and supported.
• Salary dependent on experience.
