Official Veterinarian - Food/Product Export Certification - West Midlands HF6013

VetPro Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Official Veterinarian for Food/Product Export Certification in the Midlands area. The role will be working for a nationwide company and a leading provider of export health certificates for the export of food and other products of animal origin from the UK. No experience is required, as full comprehensive training and support will be provided. A good eye for detail, flexibility and a willingness to travel where needed are the main requirements. Using your veterinary knowledge to ensure the safety of public and animal health.
Day to day tasks will include: -
 Checking of products on sites
 Review of supporting evidence provided to sign EHCs
 Reading of relevant legislation and guidance notes
 Stamping and signing of EHCs
 Dealing with any exporter queries/advice
 Maintaining a good working relationship with other staff on the sites
The work will be a mix of on-site work, travel and some home based work. The majority of locations will be less than 1-1.5 hours travel. The work is usually between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, however some days might be short days, other days may be longer, within the week. There is no evening, night or weekend work. There is also no abattoir work involved. There may occasionally be opportunities to travel and work at other locations within the UK. If the vet does not already hold the Improve International OCQ courses ES, EX and PX the company will provide this for you. Full driving license and own car essential. Skilled worker visa applications are also supported if required.
