Locum Veterinary Inspection Officer - Carmathen, Wales

VetPro Recruitment is looking for a locum Veterinary Inspection Officer based in Carmarthen, Wales. This is a 6-month requirement starting on 21 October 2024 through to 18 April 2025. The role is part-time, 2-days a week, Thursday and Friday 0830-1700.

The role primarily involves conducting post-mortem examinations, the diagnostic sampling on farm animal, and the production of any post-mortem reports. Applicants must have a UK recognised degree in Veterinary Medicine and be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Applicants must also have the Official Controls Qualification (Veterinary) – Essential Skills on application. Applicants must have some large animal experience but previous experience of a role like this not necessary. Full driving licence and own transport are essential as farm visits will be part of the role.

Applicants must either live locally or be happy to arrange own accommodation as this will not be provided or subsidised.
