Inpatient Veterinary Surgeon - East Sussex HF2232

Inpatient Veterinary Surgeon Required for Well Established East and West Sussex Veterinary Group. The vet will be a key member of the veterinary practice team providing clinical and professional services to the customers and their animals including preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic care. The vet will have an active interest in clinical work, mainly internal medicine and ECC, to ensure inpatients are fully cared for, worked up as pet owners’ consent, communicate with owners on daily basis about hospitalised patients. The role will involve 36 hours per week working hours 8am until 8pm. The ideal candidate will have an ECC / internal medicine qualification or working towards and will be confident with diagnostic imaging (xrays, US +/- CT) with the ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels, able to prioritise work based on clinical priority and importance, a proven problem solver with attention to detail in all aspects of role – consistently produces work to the highest standard. Duties will include but not limited to; Liaise with staff at charities and rescue centres with regard to providing veterinary care for their animals, to work alongside and delegate tasks as required with other clinical and support staff, to provide mentoring and support of the more junior vets.The practice is location in a fantastic coastal city in East Sussex with great transport connections.
