Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Inverness-Shire – HF2809

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly team at a practice in Inverness-Shire. The team are currently a good mix of experienced and Junior vets and are looking for someone confident in managing their own interesting caseload. You would ideally work a 32-hour, 4-day week and a share of the weeknights and weekends on-call on a rota basis. A Bonus scheme is in place for OOH call outs as well as the Friday off following a weekend. Shared OOH rota of 1 in 6/1 in 7. Weekends are shared with the neighbouring practice so currently a 1 in 12 full weekends. Confident sole charge and emergency work is advantageous but equally important is being a small animal GP vet with good knowledge and experience of first opinion surgical/medical caseloads. You will be joining a welcoming team made up of 6 full-time (1 Cert AVP) and 2 part-time Vets, 9 nurses and an excellent reception and support team. The practice is well equipped with a full range of in-house lab equipment, digital X-ray including dental X-ray in the dental suite, Video-endoscope, Ultrasound, ECG as well as laparoscopic equipment for the Keyhole spays. The ideal candidate must be MRCVS registered; experience is preferred but not essential as the team will be on hand to provide support. Must have car and full driving licence.
