Large Animal Clinical Director - Aberdeenshire HF3574

Looking for a Large Animal Clinical Director to work in a Farm and Equine Role within a busy Mixed practice in Aberdeenshire. Large mixed practice based over 3 sites. There are 15 vets in total with around 10 FTE vets. The Large Animal work is around 4 full time equivalent vets with a busy seasonal element in Spring and Autumn. The Successful Candidate will lead the Large Animal team and work along side the other Clinical Directors within the practice and the practice management team, working together when necessary. Excellent farm client base with a number of driven pedigree and commercial beef and sheep clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of their Vet team of large animal vets, supporting their development. Experience of working with proactive clients and staff management experience would be preferred but training can be provided working alongside the Regional Head of Farm and Area Director. Good leadership skills are required with a grasp of both the economics of the farm clients and the practice business as a whole. At this stage it would be anticipated that the new Clinical Director would contribute to the OOH Rota but equally would play a key role in continuing to evolve that to ensure the best working conditions for their team. Facilities to support a Large Animal Team including Easi-scan Go Scanners, Bull Fertility Equipment, Foot trimming facilities and Internal IDEXX Lab. .
