Established and friendly practices in Oxfordshire and Berkshire are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their multi-site team. The opportunity to spend time at all 3 practices, splitting your time evenly between the sites or if you have a preference for one location that can be made to work as well. Serving over 10,000 clients so have a varied and exciting case load to support vets looking to learn more. Enthusiastic vet and team player with great communication skills and a respectful awareness of patient and colleague needs. Experienced nurses to support your development as well as constant senior partner mentoring. Across the 3 practices you will be joining a team of 8 veterinary surgeons (including 3 Partners), 9 qualified nurses, 3 student nurses, 4 VCA’s, 7 receptionists, and very own practice manager. The practices are led by fantastic Vet Partners; one with PGCert (Small Animal Surgery) MRCVS, RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery GPAdvCertSAOS (Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery) with special interest in small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery including cruciate, fracture repair, keyhole & airway surgery (BOAS) and the other Vet Partner recently passed post graduate BSAVA in small animal internal medicine – clinical interest in intensive care, acute medicine and soft tissue surgery. The role is 36 hours a week with 1 in 4 weekends with no OOH. Surgery equipment: Everything including extras, diathermy/ligasure at each site, key hole laparoscopy kit, arthroscopes, two extra high grade ultrasound machines for imagining and orthopaedic equipment for all fracture and cruciate repairs (TTA/TPLO). ECG and multiparameter monitoring units for anaesthesia. Digital x-ray at each site. All practices have easy commute via M4 / A34.
