Opportunity for a Clinical Director to join a team on a 6-month fixed term contract at a RCVS Accredited well established mixed practice on the Isle of Man. There is the scope to extend/possibility to become permanent after this time. The clinic is a mixed practice and there is complete flexibility in which areas you would like to work in from small animal only or mixed work (small, farm/equine) with 3 branches. Team of 8 Vets, team of 9 experienced Veterinary Nurses plus large support team.Visiting ophthalmologist to whom the practice can refer complicated ocular cases, visiting the island every 2-4 weeks. Working alongside the Practice Director and the management team with the running of the practice, mentoring and coaching the junior vets in practice, whilst managing your own caseloads, this role will provide  combination of management and clinical work. Working 4 days per week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings with 1 on call night a week. 1:8 weekends per year - day off in lieu of weekends worked. The OOH rota is shared with a bonus scheme in place. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior clinician who is keen to develop their leadership and management skills. Capable of all routine surgeries, as well as GDVs, and other abdominal and soft tissue surgeries. Skills in medicine cases and ultrasound would be favourable. An interest in teaching/leading junior vets would also be advantageous. Generous salary including relocation package and company vehicle plus more benefits.
